Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map Amendment Public Hearing
Two proposed amendments to the Town of Washington Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map will be considered at a public hearing before the Town of Washington Plan Commission on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. and make a recommendation to the Town of Washington Board who will vote on the matter on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
Both meetings will be held at the Town Municipal Building, 5750 Old Town Hall Road, Eau Claire.
The proposed amendments are as follows (see map on other side of this letter):
- To reclassify the north 10 acres of 21.63 acres (024-1124-07-000) from Rural Transition (RT) to Rural Commercial (RC) to allow rezoning of the property to C3 Highway Business District. Property located on the south east corner of Old Town Hall Road and Sheeder Road.
- To reclassify less than 1 acre from Urban Mixed Use to Rural Commercial (RC) to allow rezoning of the property to C3 Highway Business District to allow for dog & cat daycare, boarding, and grooming business. Property located at 3335 London Road (024-2125-05-000).
You are invited to attend the Plan Commission public hearing and Town Board meeting, or review and comment on the proposed comprehensive plan amendment. Note that the Plan Commission is a recommending body to the Town Board, who has the authority to approve or deny the request.
If approved, the property owners intend to rezone the properties to allow the development of commercial uses on the property.
